The U.S. Department of State has lifted its recommendation that Americans "consider deferring non-essential travel to Israel," announced on July 21 during the recent Operation Protective Edge conflict with Hamas.
In a statement, Uri Steinberg, Israel Tourism Commissioner, North America, said that this was "excellent news," and that "while tourism has already begun to rebound in the wake of the end of the conflict, this will add additional impetus."
