Park Hyatt Tokyo has announced Philippe Roux-Dessarps as the hotel’s new General Manager. Roux-Dessarps spent three years as front office manager of the hotel.  Immediately before rejoining the Tokyo staff, Roux-Dessarps was general manager of Hyatt Regency Birmingham.

The 178-room Park Hyatt Tokyo will celebrate its 15th anniversary in 2009. The hotel occupies 14 floors of a 52-story skyscraper. Features at the hotel include the New York Grill restaurant and a two-story spa and fitness center with floor to ceiling windows. Movie-goers will recognize the hotel as a location in the Oscar-winning 2003 film, Lost in Translation.
