SITA World Tours Plans for Return to Japan

Underscoring the problems for the travel industry created by Japan’s crisis – an earthquake, tsunami and nuclear issues - SITA World Tours reports it is carefully considering their options regarding a return to regularly scheduled travel to Japan. SITA vice president, Laudie Hanou said the luxury tour operator has three Japan itineraries.

“We are thinking we will be able to resume later this summer. We will evaluate the situation in terms of our customers’ comfort, safety and our overall ability to deliver an outstanding experience before we reschedule our itineraries. Japan is a popular product for SITA and we will continue to do everything we can to promote this dynamic destination,” Hanou said.

“For those clients scheduled for travel to Japan, we are offering the option to either cancel, reschedule or select an alternative destination. We are making every effort to assure our clients a comparable experience within the same pricing parameters,” Hanou said.

SITA World Tours spans 75 years in luxury travel with itineraries to Africa, India, Asia and South America.
