U.S. Warns Against Travel to Lebanon

The U.S. Department of State has updated its travel warning for Lebanon, saying it "remains concerned about the personal safety and security of American citizens" in the country. The U.S. on Friday said Americans should put off travel to Lebanon and urged U.S. citizens in Lebanon to carefully consider the risks of remaining in the war-torn country. "Since the August 14 cessation of hostilities between Israel and Lebanon, political tensions in Lebanon have increased and have become a cause for concern in recent weeks," the State Department said.
