I just read your Editor's Letter in Travel Agent magazine
JetBlue's Woes
," February 26, 2007). Three Cheers! I agree with you
completely. I said the same thing on Channel 12 and in Long Island Business
last week. People don't want free tickets over a very uncomfortable
situation! They want to get to where they are going. A Passenger Bill of Rights
does not make things better when people are sitting in an airplane—or even a
terminal—for hours. True, sometimes, due to bad weather, it can't be helped.
I've had it happen to me numerous times and it is unpleasant. But JetBlue is
based in New York and it usually snows in New York during the
winter. They should have been better prepared. I think David Neeleman now
recognizes that! Our customers enjoy flying them and, I suspect, JetBlue will
do a better job the next time.
