Fairmont Appoints Storey President

Thomas Storey has been tapped to succeed Chris Cahill as president of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts effective May 1. The luxury brand called the move a "natural progression" for Storey, who has 25 years of hotel industry experience, most recently as executive vice president of development, where he was responsible for growing all three Fairmont Raffles Hotels International's brands—Fairmont, Raffles and Swissotel. Storey joined Fairmont in 2001.

With 56 Fairmont properties currently, the luxury brand is set to open an additional 20 more over the next several years in burgeoning destinations such as Abu Dhabi and South Africa.

Cahill will now focus solely on his other duty as COO, focusing on marketing and operations across all brands in Fairmont Raffles Hotels International's portfolio. Visit www.fairmont.com.
