InterContinental Hotels Group has been tapped to manage a luxury beachfront hotel scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2008. The InterContinental Hua Hin Resort will comprise 120 rooms and three beachfront villas with private plunge pools. The resort will include a Spa InterContinental, multiple restaurants, a tea lounge and five pools. Every room will have outdoor lounge space; some ground-floor rooms will have either a private garden or direct pool access. Hua Hin draws travelers because of its beaches, golf courses and historical attractions. It also is home to the Summer Palace.
