Wyndham Hotel Group is bringing the Wyndham Brand to China with the fourth-quarter opening this year of a luxury hotel it will manage in Xiamen in Fujian Province. The Wyndham Xiamen, now under construction, will have 550 rooms, as well as three restaurants, a lounge, a fitness room, a sauna, a swimming pool, a ballroom and meeting space. Wyndham says that while its brand in North America is upscale, this and other Wyndham hotels to be developed in China will be built to luxury standards.
