Honing Your Competitive Edge

What sets you apart? At Luxury Travel Exchange International (LTX), it’s education.

This year’s LTX will strongly concentrate on specialization. Kicking off the event is a brand-new initiative presented by Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), with the CLIA Specialty Cruise Collection Showcase. This exciting addition to the program will take place on the morning of Tuesday, November 27 and has never been presented prior to this year’s LTX. The CLIA Specialty Cruise Collection Showcase will highlight the ever-growing specialty cruise market with a focus on unique products and services. The showcase will be complemented by accredited programming presented by CLIA with a focus on specialty cruise sales training.

Attending travel advisors will also have the opportunity to grow their accredited value and their business with a presentation from The Travel Institute titled “Implementing a Sound Marketing Plan,” with keys to developing a strategy with clear objectives and actionable tasks, plus tips on prioritizing online channels, co-op opportunities, social media and more.

Beyond these timely sessions, advisors will have a series of educational tracks to choose from. What’s unique about these tracks are that they were cultivated out of details from every application we received—so not only are they designed for you, but they are designed by you.

Agency owners and managers (with independent contractors or frontline reports) can take part in top-line programming such as Safeguarding Your Business: Are You Protected?; Recruiting and Retaining Sales Stars; and Engage and Elevate Your Supplier Relations.

The owner/manager (of an independent agency) track will include the programs such as Lessons Learned: Tips for the Independent Contractor; and Building Your Own Identity: The Brand of You. 

Frontline advisors (who may or may not be independent) will have the opportunity to learn from the experts on key topics such as Successful Sales Strategies to Grow Your Luxury Travel Business: Learn from the Experts; and Show Your Value as a Trusted Luxury Advisor.

Advisors will also have the opportunity to learn firsthand from select suppliers with important product sessions. The Japan National Tourism Organization, along with its partners, will be on hand to educate advisors on all Japan has to offer your affluent clientele. There will also be a series of fast-track sessions to choose from.
