The ASEAN Tourism Association has changed its virtual address to [www.visitasean.travel]. The umbrella organization says the switch to the dot-travel domain name is part of its new marketing strategy to promote travel into and within its 10-country region by way of its Visit ASEAN Pass program. Tunku Iskandar, chairman of ASEANTA's intra-ASEAN travel committee, says that while the pass program is a valuable tool for travel agents to use in creating tailored packages, www.visitasean.com will be valuable in promoting the pass program and ASEAN as a tourism destination. ASEANTA membership comprises national airlines, national travel agency and hotel associations of the 10 ASEAN countries: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
