San Diego Westin Opens

San Diego has become a thriving hotel market and the city now has another feather in its cap with the opening of the Westin San Diego in Emerald Plaza. The 26-story, 436-room hotel is a $12 million conversion from a Wyndham property, and is close to many San Diego attractions such as the Gaslamp District. Meanwhile, New York straphangers who frequent the shuttle train between Times Square and Grand Central Terminal, undoubtedly, have been witness to Westin's new marketing campaign dubbed "This Is How It Should Feel," which is splattered throughout the subway cars. The $30 million campaign features subway interiors that are completely wrapped in images of a rain forest, a tropical scuba dive or a sauna leading to lakeshore. The campaign will be extended to other major cities in the coming weeks.
