Taj Hotels and Silversea Cruises Form Marketing Alliance

The Hindu Times reports that Indian hotel operator Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces and luxury cruise line Silversea Cruises have entered into a joint marketing alliance to develop cross-promotional opportunities by exploiting the strength of each company's brand. Raymond Bickson, managing director & CEO of the Indian Hotels Company Ltd., whose subsidiaries are collectively known as Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces, said the alliance will enable the companies to leverage each other's distribution networks and create dual-brand awareness. Both Taj and Silversea believe that each brand has similar brand positioning, which will create a beneficial synergy.
