This month, Airawak has launched service between St. Lucia, Martinique and Dominica. Aboard the airline's Britten-Norman BN2 'Islander' aircraft, service runs from Fort De France, Lamentin (FDF) in Martinique to Dominica Cane Field (DCF) in Domenica Monday and Friday, departing at 7 a.m. to arrive at 7:32 a.m., as well as on Wednesday, departing at 9 a.m. to arrive at 9:30 a.m., and Sunday, departing at 3:30 p.m. to arrive at 4:02 p.m.
Return service from DCF in Dominica to FDF in Martinique runs Monday and Friday, departing at 8 a.m. to arrive at 8:32 a.m., in addition to Sunday service, departing at 4:30 p.m. to arrive in at 5:02 p.m. Flight rates between FDF and DCF start at €224 ($312.25).
Flights from FDF in Martinique to George F. L. Charles Airport (SLU) in St. Lucia operates Monday and Friday, departing at 9 a.m. to arrive at 9:24 a.m.; Wednesday, with service departing at 7 a.m. to arrive at 7:24 a.m.; and Sunday departing 1:30 p.m. to arrive at 1:54 p.m.
Return service from SLU to FDF runs Monday and Friday, departing at 10 a.m. to arrive at 10:24 a.m.; Wednesday, with service departing at 8 a.m. to 8:24 a.m.; and Sunday, departing 2:30 p.m. to arrive at 2:54 p.m. Flight rates between FDF and SLU start at €185.14 ($312.25).
Service between FDF and Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) in St. Lucia, where passengers can transfer from the United States, runs two days a week. Flights from FDF to UVF operate Monday and Sunday, departing FDF at 1 p.m. to arrive at UVF at 1:32 p.m., both days. Return service departs UVF at 4:30 p.m. to arrive at 5:02 p.m., also both days. Rates start from €238.22 ($330.74).
Designed in the United Kingdom, the aircraft was named for its short-haul operations between islands and is distinguished by its 'short take-off and landing' (STOL) capability.
