Martinique Gets New Airlift with Launch of Air Antilles Express Flights from San Juan

Flight options for clients looking to visit Martinique continue to improve with the launch of new scheduled service from San Juan aboard Air Antilles Express.

As of now, the Guadeloupe-based regional carrier will operate four round-trip flights per-week connecting Aimé Cesaire International Airport (FDF) in Martinique with Luis Munoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The flights depart San Juan on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 4:05 p.m. and arrive in Martinique at 7 p.m. Return flights leave the same days at 12 p.m. and arrive back in San Juan at 3:05 p.m.

News of the new Air Antilles Express flights follows closely on the heels of the June seasonal expansion in American Airlines nonstop service to Martinique from Miami. Through August 13 and resuming once more on November 12, the service will operate twice weekly (Wednesday and Saturday).

“With all the new air service coming from the U.S. this summer, 2014 presents a golden opportunity for American travelers to visit our very special corner of the Caribbean and experience all that Martinique has to offer,” said Karine Roy-Camille, commissioner of tourism for the Martinique Tourism Authority, in a written release.
