Ritz-Carlton Kapalua Slates $95 Million Upgrade

Work is scheduled to begin July 2 on $95 million in renovations and upgrades at the already upscale Ritz-Carlton Kapalua on the island of Maui. Highlights of the work include upgrading and expanding the spa and adding to the roster of activities for children and teens. In addition, all rooms will be renovated and the food-and-beverage outlets will be enhanced. The hotel currently comprises 548 rooms and 58 suites; it will emerge with 363 renovated guest rooms and 107 one- and two-bedroom suites. The suites will be full-ownership Ritz-Carlton Residential Suites, but will also be available for booking by hotel guests. The property will close in July and reopen in December.
