Riviera Nayarit is calling all surfers to hang 10. The destination on Mexico's Pacific coast will be hosting the 4th Annual Punta Sayulita Classic, taking place March 8-10.
The Punta Sayulita Classic is one of the top international surfing and stand-up paddle events in North America. Winners do not receive monetary rewards; instead, the primary consideration is to raise awareness on the importance for environmental protection as well as to raise funds for the Reef Check Foundation's area Eco-Diver Program and the Punta Sayulita Foundation's children's educational sports development programs.
The weekend kicks off with a surfing clinic for special needs and underprivileged children led by surfing legend Jimmy Gamboa and members of his TheraSURF Foundation. The event concludes with a performance by Mishka, which will be free and on the beachfront on Saturday, March 9.
