Marriott International Appoints New Area VP for the Caribbean and Brazil

Marriott International Hotels announced the appointment of Andrew Houghton as area vice president for the Caribbean and Brazil.

Houghton has had an extensive career with Marriott, starting in 1986 as director of sales and marketing at the London Marriott. In 1988, he moved to the Cairo Marriott, one of the largest hotels in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, as director of marketing. He later moved to the JW Marriott Cairo as opening general manager with responsibilities for the operations of the Mirage City Golf Club. In addition, Andrew worked at Marriott Headquarters, DC as brand executive VP for full service brands from 2004-07. Visit www.marriott.com.
