Mexico Gets Two More World Heritage Sites

San Miguel de Allende and the Monarch Butterflies recently joined Mexico’s long list of World Heritage Sites.

San Miguel Allende and the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve now give Mexico 29 officially tagged World Heritage Sites by UNESCO during the 32nd annual World Heritage Committee in Canada. The committee also added 13 other new sites to its World Heritage List. Mexico now places third in the world for its amount of World Heritage Sites, after Spain and Italy.
