Riviera Nayarit, one of the two host destinations for this year’s Tianguis Turistico 2012 (March 25-28), along with Puerto Vallarta, will also host the welcoming reception to kick off Mexico’s largest travel industry event of the year.
The reception is set to take place at the Marina Riviera Nayarit in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, considered the best marina in Mexico for its state of the art design and top of the line nautical services.
With 6,000 expected participants at this year’s edition of Tianguis, the welcoming reception will offer guests the opportunity to enjoy the sunset onboard yachts and boats, allowing for an ocean view that will showcase the beauty of the Banderas Bay.
The menu for the reception will include regional dishes prepared with a fusion of traditional Mexican cuisine and modern gastronomical elements. Chef Patricia Quintana, Mexico’s culinary ambassador, will lead 16 renowned chefs from Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta during the event preparations.
Throughout Tianguis, there are several events planned including a world-class show highlighting Mexican culture, golf tournaments, countless surprises and more.
Tianguis Turistico is Mexico’s most important travel industry event, Tianguis Turistico Mexico 2012, will be held in a new region for the first time in 37 years: Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta.
