The developers of the Duane Street Hotel are saying that the new boutique property slated for the Tribeca area of Manhattan, New York will open after the New Year. The 45-room, six-story "upscale lifestyle boutique," designed by Gene Kaufman Associates and interior designer Paul Vega, will be located at the corner of Duane and Church streets. Room rates begin at $300. The Duane Street Hotel will be Hersha Hospitality Management's fifth hotel in Manhattan and the 10th in New York City. The Duane Street Hotel will be the first of three new boutique properties that Hersha will open in the near future. Jeffrey M. Stegman will be the Duane Street Hotel's general manager.
