Disney's Aulani in Hawaii Begins Taking Reservations

Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, Ko Olina, Hawaii, will start taking reservations for hotel rooms and vacation packages for 2011 beginning August 2. Seventeen miles from the Honolulu International Airport, on the western side of Oahu, guests can choose from an ocean or garden view from 359 hotel rooms and 481 two-bedroom equivalent Disney Vacation Club villas, starting at $399 a night. Adjacent to a blue lagoon and white-sand beach, the rooms in the the two 15-story towers look out onto the mountains and ocean.

 

Resort amenities include a conference center, the 330-slip marina and the Ted Robinson-designed 18-hole golf course. Guests can enjoy the feature pool, a 900-foot tube floating watercourse, a wading pool, body slides, sunset-facing hot tubs, a quiet adult pool, a snorkel lagoon, and a conservation pool. Entertainment for younger guests include pool parties with Disney characters, excursions into the rainforest and surf, learning how to prepare Hawaiian cuisine with local chefs, and visiting Aunty's Beach House, where they can learn about Hawaiin culture through (interactive touch table) games and do arts and crafts.
