Here's a nice way to do some good while on vacation: Oahu's Ala Moana Hotel is collecting food donations for the Hawaii Foodbank, allowing guests to make donations in exchange for a full breakfast buffet. Any guest staying at the hotel who contributes either five pounds or six cans of food items from March 1 to April 15 will receive a coupon to breakfast at Plantation Café.
The Hawaii Foodbank program is open to all registered guests from March 1 to April 15, 2012. Upon receipt of the foodstuffs, guests will receive one coupon per room for a free breakfast at Plantation Café. Guests may bring food on multiple days. Food must be in the form of cans or unopened non-perishable bags, such as rice.
