Carnival Dream's Dreamy Water Slide

Dream

Meet "The DrainPipe," the 104-foot-long water slide, which, when Carnival Dream enters service on September 21, will provide a deluge of thrills for the 3,646 passengers aboard.

The DrainPipe will be the central component of the ship's WaterWorks aqua park, which will also feature a four-deck-high, 303-foot-long enclosed corkscrew water slide, twin dual-lane racing slides and other fun stuff such as squirting fountains, splash zones, and dump buckets.

Upon entering the Carnival fleet, Carnival Dream will sail three 12-day Mediterranean cruises round-trip from Rome (Civitavecchia) September 21 to October 15. This will be followed by a 16-day trans-Atlantic crossing from Rome to New York on October 27. Following two eight-day departures from New York, Carnival Dream will sail on a special nine-day voyage from Port Canaveral before launching year-round seven-day Caribbean service from that port December 5, 2009.
