Kid Rock and Sixthman Present: Chillin' CruiseJuly 6, 2011 By: George Dooley Travel Agent
|(c) 2011 Kid Rock's Chillin the Most Cruise, Sixthman LLC|
From April 26 through April 30, 2012, the third annual Kid Rock's Chillin' the Most Cruise will set sail on Carnival Destiny from Miami, Fl., to Half Moon Cay and back. The vacation will include a full day at sea and two days of rock on the beach in Half Moon Cay, a private island in the Bahamas, which will be renamed "Rock's Reef" for the adventure.
Kid Rock will be bringing along his friends and favorite musicians once again - those will be announced later this summer. In 2011, Kid Rock brought along Rev Run, Gretchen Wilson, John Stone, Ty Stone, Howling Diablos, and more. That cruise drew 2,900 people, making Chillin' the Most a sold out trip twice in a row, Sixthman says.
For the third Chillin' the Most, Kid Rock wanted to be able to top the last two cruises, so Sixthman reviewed over 1,400 surveys from past guests to create an even better experience in 2012. By creating a beach concert, staying in port for two days, and choosing a ship that will create a more intimate environment for Kid Rock fans, new and returning guests alike will be able to walk away saying this was the vacation of a lifetime.
"We can't wait to see the stage rockin' on Half Moon Cay for all of Kid Rock's fans," said Sixthman CEO Andy Levine. "We were presented with a challenge to make this year even better that 2010 and 2011, and with Kid Rock at the helm we have no doubt it will happen."
Kid Rock fans can go to www.kidrockcruise.com for more details. Returning guests will have first chance at booking their cabins once sales begin; new guests can sign up for the mailing list and will be notified of on-sale information as soon as it is available.
Sixthman, headquartered in Atlanta, Ga., creates theme cruises with an emphasis on celebrating music and fan communities. These one-of-a-kind vacation experiences bring like-minded people together in exclusive, interactive, and intimate environments. Sixthman has hosted more than 35 full-ship charters since 2001, and maintains a more than sixty percent return rate amongst guests.
Another innovative cruise option includes award-winning actors Ernest Borgnine, Tippi Hedren, and Eva Marie Saint, along with distinguished filmmaker Norman Jewison, who will set sail on the first-ever TCM Classic Cruise, a new, one-of-a-kind event taking place Dec. 8-12, 2011.
The four film legends will join Turner Classic Movies primetime host Robert Osborne, TCM weekend-daytime host Ben Mankiewicz and scores of classic-movie fans for the four-day voyage aboard Celebrity Millennium. While sailing from Miami to Key West and Cozumel, guests will enjoy a variety of movie-themed events, including screenings, panel discussions, trivia contests and parties.
Also participating in the first-ever TCM Classic Cruise will be the Alloy Orchestra, a three-man musical ensemble that has written and performed live accompaniment to classic silent films for more than two decades.
