Uniglobe Strengthens NetworkJune 5, 2007 By: Jennifer Merritt Travel Agent
Ten Uniglobe Travel agencies have joined together to form a new $200 million company, Uniglobe Travel Partners. Uniglobe Travel Partners is structured so that all of the 10 members are joint-owners and equal shareholders. "The formation is certainly unique," said Kate Murphy, owner of Uniglobe Wings Travel in Blue Bell, PA, who also was recently featured as an "Agent of Change" in Travel Agent magazine. "By forming a partnership among these 10 agencies across the United States, Uniglobe Travel Partners is retaining the entrepreneurial management of each office that has helped make this company so successful." These 10 agencies will continue to offer the same services, but with an increased ability to service more national and global accounts in both the corporate and leisure sectors, Murphy added. In addition to Murphy's office in Pennsylvania, other Uniglobe Travel Partners offices exist in New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Chicago, Portland, San Francisco, Houston, Columbus, Bakersfield, Orange County and Wilmington.
