New Passport Rules Take Effect Tuesday

New regulations go into effect January 23 that require all travelers, including U.S. citizens, flying into the States from Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico to have a passport. The cost of a new passport is $97 for adults and $82 for children. Travelers can also opt for the less expensive passport card, which costs $45 for adults and $35 for children and is only valid for travel from Mexico, the Caribbean or Canada, reported USA Today. Some Caribbean hoteliers, such as Sandals, are offering to reimburse new passport holders for the expense pending travel to the region. Visit [www.nassauparadiseisland.com].
