U.S. Travel Association Welcomes New Co-Chair of Travel Caucus

U.S. Travel Association President and CEO Roger Dow has issued a statement welcoming Senator Dean Heller to his new position as co-chair of the Senate Travel and Tourism Caucus.

“I extend my heartiest congratulations to Sen. Heller, a true travel champion who has time and again worked to ensure that Congress remains attuned to the needs and priorities of travel and travelers,” Dow said.

“Sen. Heller has shone in legislative efforts to promote travel to the U.S. Attracting more international visitors to our country is crucial to America’s economic health, since international visitation directly supports more than 1.1 million jobs and fuels communities with billions of dollars in spending tax revenue. Sen. Heller has shown great initiative in this cause,” Dow added.

Sen. Heller has been a member of the Senate Travel and Tourism Caucus for years and earned a Distinguished Travel Champion Award from the organization. He will join a team of caucus co-chairs including Sens. Amy Klobuchar, Roy Blunt and Brian Schatz.
