British Travel Association Alters Rules on Fraud

The Association of British Travel Agents, or ABTA, says it will no longer compensate travelers who lost money in a scheme perpetrated by a member holidaymaker, several news agencies are reporting. Previously, the association representing some 2,000 holidaymakers and tour operators around the nation, would reimburse a traveler who was the victim of fraud. The new guidelines will go into effect Sept. 1.
