Delta Signs Content Agreement with Galileo

Galileo International, a subsidiary of Cendant Corp., has signed a seven-year, full-content agreement with Delta Air Lines. Through the agreement, all of Delta's published fares and inventory will be available to all users of the Galileo GDS system including Galileo-connected travel agencies, corporate customers and Cendant TDS online agencies booking through Galileo. In addition, Delta and CheapTickets, a subsidiary of Cendant Corp., also executed a new marketing agreement. Kurt Ekert, senior vice president, Supplier Services for Cendant TDS, said the agreement was a positive outcome for the GDSs customers and for Cendant, and that Galileo agents, corporate travelers and consumers would continue to have access to all fares offered by Delta. Delta's executive vice president of Sales and Customer Service Lee Macenczak expressed hope that the new partnership would help the airline achieve key business objectives of growing revenue and effectively managing distribution costs.
