Uniworld Grand River Cruises Monday introduced a bonus commission program for new bookings made throughout May. Travel agents will earn $50 per person on 2007 bookings and $25 per person on 2008 reservations. These bookings will be added to a drawing, which Uniworld will hold in June, for agents to win one seven-night cruise for two, including business class roundtrip airfare. Meanwhile, customers save $100 on bookings made in May. "Uniworld's intent is to protect the creditability of their pricing structure by rewarding the advance bookings with higher savings," explains Janice Tully, vice president of Uniworld Grand River Cruises. "Although the May program does not undercut these previous savings programs, we hope it does attract new business for the remaining availability for 2007, as well as draw interest in advance bookings for 2008."
