Marina Bay Sands Update: Next Celebrity Chef Sets Up Shop

August 3, 2010 By: Meagan Drillinger

Marina Bay Sands in Singapore has unveiled the next piece in its historic grand opening. Chef Tetsuya Wakuda has launched his much-anticipated restaurant Waku Ghin.

This is Chef Tetsuya's only restaurant outside of his flagship in Sydney. The Singapore outpost is 8,000 square feet with an intimate lounge, four unique dining rooms for private parties and a main dining room that offers floor-to-ceiling views of the Singapore skyline.

The menu highlights Japanese creations blended with Singapore favorites (think bamboo clam) and a touch of Tetsuya's style. Other signature items include the Marinated Botan Shrimp with Sea Urchin and Caviar as well as the Australian Wagyu with Wasabi and Citrus Soy.

Wakuda is one of six celebrity chefs to open a restaurant at the integrated resort, in addition to Chefs Daniel Boulud, Mario Batali, Wolfgang Puck, Guy Savoy and Santi Santamaria.
