Snowshoe to “The Shining” Hotel With The Wayfarers

The Wayfarers is offering the “Walk on Snow in Colorado” tour from March 18-21, 2012, a four-day / three-night trek that features snowshoeing, a 25-minute massage or reflexology treatment and a stay at a haunted hotel.

Guests will stay at the historic Stanley Hotel, which was made famous by Stephen King’s The Shining. The $1295 per person price, based on double occupancy, also includes the hotel’s ghost tour, entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and snowshoe rental.

Pitched for both first-time and experienced snowshoers, the walk will average two to three miles per day depending on conditions. Participants can also enjoy shopping and lunch in the town of Estes Park, a spa treatment at the Stanley’s Parlour Spa and regional fare in the hotel’s Cascades Restaurant.
