Hapag-Lloyd's Hanseatic Finishes Drydock

hanseaticHapag-Lloyd Cruises reports that the expedition ship Hanseatic has finished its three-week scheduled drydock at Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven

The ship received 240 new animal and nature photographs by Hamburg-based Michael Poliza, as well as technical changes to the ship's stabilizers designed to make them more environmentally friendly by running on biopetroleum. The ship's two main engines also received a complete overhaul. 

The new Michael Poliza photos were taken on his travels, with shots from the Arctic, Antarctic and Africa

Other changes include replacing carpets, renovating the consultation area of the cruise sales department and modernizing the presentation walls of the on-board photographer with modern screens.

The Hanseatic is now on a two-week cruise from Bremerhaven to Tenerife, calling at Portsmouth, La Coruna, Leixoes, Lisbon, Portimao, Cadiz, Casablanca, Arrecife/Lanzarote, Santa Cruz/La Palma and San Sebastian/La Gomera.
