Vail Resorts may be ending its ski season this month, but that doesn’t mean Colorado travelers don’t have plenty to look forward to. Vail Resorts’ Beaver Creek is filling up its summer calendar with over twenty five events including various races, movies under the stars, music events, an arts festival, a culinary demonstration series, and much more. The festivities kick-off on May 25, with the last one ending on September 27.
The first event of the season is the ninth annual Blues, Brews & BBQ from May 25 through May 26. The Memorial Day Weekend celebration features BBQ from local and visiting chefs alike. Food will be accompanied by microbrews provided by a variety of breweries, as well as a full lineup of free blues concerts each day. The event will be family friendly, offering a selection of kids’ activities.
To celebrate the longest day of the year, Beaver Creek offers the Summer Solstice Trail Run on June 22. This consists of a 5K or 10K trail run for adults, as well as a kids K for children. Post-race entrants will be provided with BBQ, drinks, and live music outside at Creekside Park in Beaver Creek.
The Beaver Creek Art Festival will take place on August third and fourth. In this annual event, 150 artists put their work on display including watercolors, oil and acrylic paintings, woodworking, glass, sculptures, furniture, mosaics, ceramics, and jewelry.
Beaver Creek hosts the 4th Annual Hike, Wine and Dine benefiting Jack’s Place on September 22. The event starts with coffee, mimosas, and breakfast treats while guests register and gear up for a 4-mile mild hike along the trails of Beaver Creek at the peak of aspen season. Along the way, guests will be offered a number of gourmet tastings from some of the best chefs in Beaver Creek and the Vail Valley. The event wraps up back on the Beaver Creek back lawn for more food samplings, wine tastings and relaxation.
