Travel Planners International (TPI) has expanded its executive team with a set of three new promotions and appointments.

Scott Radesi has joined TPI as director of business development. Radesi oversees TPI's preferred supplier partnerships, and he and his team establish and execute annual marketing plans to promote these partners to TPI's agents across the U.S. He has spent five years as business development manager with The Mark Travel Corporation, where he worked with many different agency business models. In this post he worked closely with TPI, one of his largest accounts, developing annual marketing plans to achieve year-over-year growth during his tenure. His career also includes two years with SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, where he continued interacting with TPI, including attending the organization’s TPI Extravaganza conference.

Michelle Threadgill has been promoted to partner relations manager with TPI. She focuses primarily on developing and proposing annual marketing plans to TPI’s existing and prospective preferred partners, which includes various business development services, marketing tools, training, and support for TPI agents and their customers. Threadgill communicates with all preferred partners to ensure that the expectations and goals have been met and to facilitate relationships. Her most recent role was special events coordinator, managing the strategy, coordination, and execution of several major functions, including the organization’s flagship event, TPI Extravaganza. Her professional background prior to TPI includes seven years of business-to-business sales.

Salone England has been promoted to director of business travel, responsible for negotiating and managing TPI’s corporate and business travel relationships with airlines, GDS providers, hotels, and car rental companies. In addition, she is responsible for recruiting corporate agents and smaller travel agencies to utilize the host agency’s array of services. England’s most recent position with TPI was director of agent relations where she managed the strategy, coordination, and recruiting of all agents for TPI. She also served as the organization’s director of operations. England’s professional background also includes more than 20 years’ experience as a corporate travel agent for Pricewaterhouse and Coopers at American Express, where she managed a 20-person group travel department.
