Amadeus and American Airlines Reach Agreement

Amadeus reports it has reached a "medium-term" agreement with American Airlines to extend its  previous agreement for full content. Agencies in the U.S. (including Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands) and Caribbean will continue to have access to the carrier’s fares and inventory.

"Under this agreement, Amadeus travel agencies will continue to have access to American Airlines content with no change from the previous agreement. Specifically, Amadeus travel agencies in the U.S. (including Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands) and Caribbean will continue to have access to the carrier’s fares and inventory as they have previously and without being subject to surcharges," Amadeus said.

Additional terms of the agreement are confidential and therefore will not be disclosed, Amadeus said. Amadeus is sending an email letter to its U.S. travel agency customers on the development.

American also issued a brief statement confirming the agreement and that Amadeus travel agencies will continue to have access to American Airlines fares and inventory with no change.
