GTI's ResMax Offers New Options for Agents and ClientsMay 16, 2006 By: Peggy Cope Travel Agent
Global Travel International has introduced the next generation of its ResMax travel booking technology for use by its independent travel agents and their clients. ResMax is an Internet-based desktop application that GTI agents can customize with their own company logo and agent information. GTI agents provide their ResMax web address to clients, who then visit their site to research and book travel. Bookings by clients using ResMax web sites allow GTI agents to earn the same commission as if they booked it themselves. With GTI and ResMax, GTI agents can spend more time marketing their services, while still getting paid whenever a client books travel through the agent's web site. New features include Quick Search options, destination guides and a comparison grid that lets agents pick a destination and compare top airline and car rental rates within seconds. GTI agents are beta testing an advanced Internet-based booking tool: a GTI-customized version of Revelex's Power Agent Lite. Power Agent Lite is an Internet-based desktop application that gives GTI agents access to all GDS and non-GDS travel products from flight reservations to river rafting. Key Power Agent Lite features include: full-color, online and informative quotes for agents' clients; travel options for air, car, hotel, cruise, travel insurance, shore excursions and client profiles; the ability to build Passenger Name Records from the client profile database; customer relationship management exporting features; and the ability to build and export lists to direct mail or e-mail programs. GTI expects the application to be available for agents by the third quarter of 2006.
