Travelers know to turn to locals for suggestions on what to see or do in major cities like Boston. Now a new app will provide this advice to visitors that seek to explore more than the Freedom Trail.
Immersion Project, also in Boston, has released locals KNOW for the iPhone, an application about Beantown that creates an amusing travel guide with information from those who call the city home.
Its multimedia content comes from Immersion Project’s work in recording local tales and unheard stories from residents, as a spin on traditional guidebook content.
Users also will be able to share and view stories on various places in Boston as they walk past them.
locals KNOW is available as a free download in the iTunes App Store.
