Insight Vacations Launches 2011 Select Choices CollectionNovember 23, 2010 By: Melanie Gretchen
Insight Vacations introduced its Select Choices collection for 2011, joining the tour operator's Select Choices program, touring cities throughout Europe. Limited to 40 passengers, the tours incorporate independent travel with a tour director, transportation and luxury accommodations.
Featured in Insight's 2011 Premium Europe and Britain program and as a standalone brochure, the collection features 18 tours, including 12 new itineraries. Marc Kazlauskas, President of Insight Vacations, said, "This year we have extended the collection to cover even more cities, and have now added Athens, Budapest, Dublin, Edinburgh, the Greek Islands, Istanbul, Prague, Vienna, and to our range of flexible journeys, to complement the existing options of Florence, London, Paris, Rome and Venice. The itineraries are less structured, meaning travelers simply need to choose the cities they would like to visit. They are able to tailor their vacation to their personal preferences by adding or removing nights, depending on how long they would like to stay."
In each city, travelers are taken on an orientation tour, for guests to decide where they would like to spend their stay. Clients can select from half- or full-day excursions toward individual tastes, alongside the tours' highlight stops and daily buffet breakfasts. Tour transportation includes luxury coaches, Eurostar, Express Rail, ferries or local flights.
We like the 11-day land-only trip through Athens, Crete and Santorini, from $2499 per person, twin share, and the eight-day, land-only trip visiting Florence and Venice, from $1575 per person, twin share.
