Trafalgar recently launched its new 2011 brochure, which includes some unique tours to South America, Mexico and beyond.
New in 2011, Trafalgar has added the eight-day experience, “Monkeys, Jungles, and Volcanoes,” a special guided vacation in Costa Rica designed for families.
Some of the child-oriented activities included in the tour are a visit to a Tortuguero village and school, a pineapple farm tour, and a pizza party. Land only prices begin at $1229, based on double occupancy. Special discounts for children ages five-17 are available as well.
Other additions for 2011 include an overnight stay in Machu Picchu on most tours that visit Peru (rather than the usual day trip), “Be My Guest” dining experiences included on most tours, and - depending on itineraries - optional extensions to Machu Picchu, the Amazon, Santiago, and the Galapagos Islands.
