A "Green" Makeover for The Trump International Beach Resort

The Trump International Beach Resort in Sunny Isles Beach has recently undergone a “green” makeover and adopted eco-friendly practices and services into their daily operations throughout the Resort’s departments.

The hotel’s top management recently formed a “Green Team” to support the resort’s goal of becoming more clean and “green” and will work to improve upon already existing programs as well as create new ones. The Trump International Beach Resort aims to become one of Florida’s Green Lodging Properties, a program established by the Florida Department of Environmental Projection that recognizes environmentally conscientious lodging facilities throughout the state of Florida.

To clean guest rooms and public areas, the hotel uses an Electrolyzer water system that promotes the Trump International Beach Resort’s “green” initiatives while also significantly reduces maintenance costs.

The resort’s in-house salon, the Debra Ordway Salon, is an environmentally friendly, toxin free salon that has implemented the newest environmental technology to reduce the need and cost of energy.  The salon utilizes all natural and eco-friendly product lines and services including organic non-toxic hair and nail care services and vegan hand, body and foot treatments.

The resort introduced its newest team member, Globie, an earth-shaped mascot who will double as the Resort’s new green-initiative ambassador and offer their kid’s program – Planet Kids and Planet Little Kids – a new cool eco-friendly spin. Globie will take an active role in the kid’s program by teaching the little ones about marine life, keeping the earth clean and protecting the environment. In addition to property appearances, Globie will spread his eco-wisdom at local events, schools, hospitals and camps.
