Mileage Plus and OnePass elite members have it made on United and Continental flights, where reciprocal seating benefits provide frequent flyers with the best seat in the house. On Continental flights, members can enjoy domestic first-class upgrades, extra legroom seating and preferred seating, whereas on United, member passengers can benefit from unlimited domestic first-class and business-class upgrades and Economy Plus seating.
Reciprocal preferred seating is the newest among the airline's loyalty programs. Further perks will be announced throughout the next few months, with full assimilation of the programs set for 2012.
