Egypt Continues to Post Positive Tourism Numbers

Egypt is still on track to welcome a record number of U.S. visitors this year, with 118,044 tourists visiting during the first six months of 2006, marking an increase of 20.1 percent compared to 2005. During the month of June, the country experienced a 16.6 percent increase in American visits compared to the same month in 2005. According to the Egyptian Tourist Authority, the average stay in 2006 is 11 nights.
