Luxe Alaska

Visitors can explore Alaska on seaplane safaris arranged by Entrée Destinations

While many of your clients may think of an Alaska vacation as a rugged wilderness experience, the folks at Entrée Alaska don’t quite see it that way. The tour operator, an offshoot of The Travel Alliance’s Entrée Destinations, believes an Alaska vacation can be a luxury trip and still offer all the beauty and wonder of the great outdoors.

Marc Télio, president of Entrée Destinations, says that all tours are customized for individual guests. For instance, the Classic Yacht and Lodge Combo features a six-day Inside Passage adventure cruise aboard the M/Y Caledonia, a deluxe 95-foot yacht with a 28-foot fishing and wildlife boat included and three nights at the Winterlake Lodge, a wilderness lodge accessible by floatplane or skiplane.

Or perhaps your clients would be more inclined to experience the Gourmet Alaska culinary adventure’s cooking classes, chef demonstrations, wine tastings and Alaskan specialties such as halibut, king salmon, crab, moose and caribou in spectacular settings and luxurious accommodations.

Most Entrée Alaska sales come from agents, who receive 10 to 12 percent commissions. “We also partner with consortia such as Virtuoso, Signature and Ensemble,” Télio says.
The agent contact for Alaska FITs is Gwen Horchover, 866-925-2752, gwen@entree destinations.com, and for yacht charters is Marty Behr, 866-925-2752, marty@entreedestinations.com.
