For Business or Pleasure, the Hilton Orlando

Hoping to capitalize on Orlando’s success as both a business-meeting venue and a family vacation destination, the new 1,400-room  Hilton Orlando opened last month with accommodations and amenities to appeal to both kinds of travelers. The new hotel is the result of a partnership between Hilton Hotels Corp., AREA Property Partners and Rida Development Corp.

As the first hotel to provide a covered open-air walkway to the Orange County Convention Center, the Hilton Orlando is positioning itself as a smart choice for today’s business and leisure travelers. “The Hilton Orlando was designed for today’s smart traveler,” says General Manager Doug Gehret. “With a renewed focus on making responsible business choices for meetings and conventions, Hilton Orlando seamlessly blends world-class business amenities with extensive leisure offerings and is ideally located to take advantage of Orlando’s robust choices for dining, shopping and entertainment.”

The Hilton Orlando’s design features a discreet separation between meeting facilities and recreational amenities, allowing each type of guest to experience the stay that meets their expectations. When the meetings are finished, Hilton Orlando’s incorporation of upscale resort features makes it a perfect destination from which to extend business travel into vacation time. While businesspeople participate in meetings and address work needs, friends or family members can enjoy a wide range of on-property recreational offerings, including two pools with lush cabanas surrounded by a lazy river. The spa and fitness center also drew rave reviews on a recent press visit to the hotel.

As for dining, steak lovers will be more than impressed by Spencer’s, the hotel’s upscale restaurant. More casual fare is available at The Bistro for breakfast and lunch, and David’s Club Bar & Grill, an inviting, yet sophisticated venue for sports viewing, relaxing with a drink or enjoying a fine lunch or dinner.

In addition, travelers of all ages will enjoy the hotel’s proximity to many of Orlando’s top destinations, restaurants and theme parks.
