Hyatt Aruba Resort & Casino to Undergoes a $20 Million Makeover

June 28, 2006 By: Joe Pike Travel Agent

Global Hyatt Corporation is investing $20 million in comprehensive renovations for Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino located on Palm Beach over the coming year. Hirsch Bedner Associates, known for their interior designs worldwide, has conceived and will direct the transformation aimed at introducing a stylish new look to the property. The redesign is targeted for completion by Spring 2007. Each of Hyatt Regency Aruba's 360 spacious guestrooms, including 24 suites, will be outfitted with all new furnishings, modern amenities, fully-renovated bathrooms and Hyatt's signature Grand Bed£. Among other improvements, the property's four regal, specialty suites, including the 2,500 square-foot Governor's Suite, the 1,900 square-foot Netherlands Suite and two 1,150 square-foot VIP Suites will feature Italian furnishings by Pianca, Minotti & Bonacina Pierantonio, handsome leather woven rugs over hard-wood floors, Mitchell Gold sofas, McGuire lounge chairs and Phillipe Starck bathroom elements, including soaking tubs. The Palms Restaurant and Palms Bar will each receive a thoroughly up-to-the-moment makeover, utilizing modern elements such as glass, stainless steel, resin and terrazzo. Crisp white walls and floors will serve as backdrop for colorful, contemporary furnishings and custom-designed glass lighting. For more information, visit [www.hyatt.com].
