Starwood Offers Tips for Family Vacations to Hawaii

If your clients are looking to take a family vacation to Hawaii this summer, Starwood's Hawaiian properties have some great options, with complimentary cultural activities and resort pools and deals to let kids eat—or even stay—for free.

Several Starwood properties will accommodate larger families. Consider a villa at either the Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas on Maui or the Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas on Kauai, or select an Ohana Suite at the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa.

The brand's Waikiki properties are all within walking distance of one another, and Stay at One, Dine at All, allows guests to sign restaurant charges from any Starwood Waikiki resort to the guest’s room. The program is also available on Maui and Kauai. (Bonus: Try the free resort guest shuttle service available from 9am to 10pm between Starwood Maui resorts and Lahaina.)

Mantas can often be seen after sunset from the Manta Ray Bar & Grill at Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa. Complimentary ‘Manta Talk’ presentations provide an introduction to these gentle and graceful visitors. Only 90 minutes away, are the active lava flows at Volcanoes National Park!

If the grown-ups need some time to themselves, some of the resorts offer ‘Parent’s Night Out,’ such as the Westin Kids Club at the Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas. For $30 per child (which includes a meal), parents can have an evening alone to enjoy a romantic dinner.

If families have kids who are too young for the Keiki Kamp, the hotel concierge staff can assist with confirming in-room baby-sitting service for children younger than five years old. Better yet, the nanny service recommended by the brand's Waikiki properties will care for infants as young as three months.
