Bellagio’s Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Las Vegas has revealed new sections of its summer display. A floral exhibition features a playful carnival with an 11-foot carousel, a 40-foot Ferris wheel and displays of the Stars and Stripes.
The entrance of the Conservatory now hosts a new replica bald eagle made from coconut chips, magnolia leaves and chopped starflowers. The bird perches atop an over-scale replica of the Liberty Bell. A stone greenhouse nearby houses 30 live birds.
In celebration of the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art’s new exhibit “A Sense of Place: Landscapes from Monet to Hockney,” the Conservatory has combined a colorful array of flora to interpret Armand Guillaumin’s Vue de Pontcharra Plaine de l'Isere le Soir (1901). The recreated painting is located in the Giardini corner in a 6-foot tall carved frame, accompanied by a 12-foot painter’s brush and oversized palette smeared with simulated oil paints.
The summer display is complimentary to the public and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week through September 10.
