Tropicana Las Vegas
Nikki Beach will debut on the West Coast at Tropicana Las Vegas.

Joining the super-hot, totally cool pool scene in Las Vegas this year in a big way is Tropicana Las Vegas, which will be bringing the sizzling Nikki Beach brand to town beginning Memorial Day weekend. The resort will launch Nikki Beach with a grand-opening White Party on May 26.

Part of the Tropicana’s ongoing $180 million overhaul, the addition of Nikki Beach falls right in line with the hotel’s new South Beach-inspired changes. This will be the largest Nikki Beach property  thus far, a place where revelers can party in typical Nikki Beach style—a blend of beautiful design, trend-setting fashion, haute cuisine, exotic cocktails and cutting-edge entertainment—with a splash of Vegas (think swim-up blackjack and breakfast buffets). With locations in 12 cities, ranging from Miami Beach (naturally!) to Marrakech, Vegas marks the brand’s West Coast debut. Nikki Beach owner Jack Penrod says that “the grand opening of Nikki Beach will bring a chic new experience to the famous Las Vegas party scene.”

So what can your clients expect to find at Nikki Beach at Tropicana Las Vegas? The concept consists of three key elements: Nikki Beach Club, Club Nikki and Café Nikki. Here’s the lowdown on each:

Nikki Beach Club: Set on over 4 acres of Tropicana Las Vegas’ lush natural pool landscape, the beach club will have sleek loungers so guests can sun themselves in the heart of the action, while luxurious white opium beds and cabanas will offer a more secluded experience, complete with premium bottle service and hors d’oeuvres. Nikki Beach will include a restaurant, outdoor café and bar, swim-up blackjack, and a private island in the center of the tropical pool.

Club Nikki: The 16,500-square-foot hotspot will provide Vegas club-goers with a totally new nightlife experience. VIPs will not only recognize the undeniable Nikki signature touches such as the all-white color scheme and the European-style best-in-class service but they will also discover an organically designed decor offering different settings according to the mood of the night. Club Nikki will have a glamorous ultra-lounge where guests can sip signature cocktails and mingle before moving on to the thumping beats of the dance floor. The club will also showcase unique interactive entertainment such as alluring champagne muses and battling DJs dueling on each side of the dance floor. Doors will open directly out to the “beach” area.

Club Nikki and Nikki Beach Club have been designed to provide guests with round-the-clock entertainment, from an afternoon at the pool to an all-night party.

Café Nikki: Set in a lush tropical garden overlooking waterfalls with a sprawling outdoor deck, Café Nikki is a European-style café offering 24/7 dining in the trademark Nikki Beach atmosphere. The menu is a blend of American cuisine and flavors inspired by international dishes. Café Nikki serves a Boutique Buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as the famous Sunday Amazing Brunch. Café Nikki Happy Hour, with open-patio seating, live music/DJ, $5 specialty drinks, and ceviche and sushi bar runs every Monday through Friday from 4-7 p.m.

Splashing Around

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, which has dominated news from the Strip since its opening in December, will be making some waves on the pool scene this season as well with its three pool “districts”: Boulevard Pool, a lively pool vibe with lounge chairs and daybeds on a multilevel open-air setting overlooking the Strip; the soothing, New Age-y Bamboo Pool; and the wet, somewhat wild and totally decadent Day Club pool. An extension of the hotel’s Marquee nightclub, the Day Club has Grand Cabanas with infinity pools and three-story Bungalow Lofts, complete with cabana, living quarters and a party deck on top.

The Dayclub opened earlier this month and “decadent” may be too tame a word to describe it. Spanning 22,000 square feet, the adults-only Dayclub boasts two pools, several bars and a gaming area. Exclusive experiences can be had in one of the eight cabanas, which boast infinity-edge glass dipping pools, flat-screen TVs, and dedicated cocktail and food service. The ultimate day-to-night offering awaits guests in the exclusive bungalows dotting the perimeter of the Dayclub, complete with overnight quarters, individual pools and an open-air party deck.

The Dayclub will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information or reservations, agents should call 702-333-9000.
