First Look: Hard Rock Las Vegas' New Paradise Tower

August 4, 2009 By: Ruthanne Terrero

When we went to visit the Hard Rock Las Vegas last week we didn't actually realize everyone over there would be so busy. Seems they were gearing up for the opening of their brand new Paradise Tower with 407 rooms, which was about to occur in two days.

Despite this intense deadline, Hard Rock officials (David Sukala, director of group sales in particular) most graciously gave us a tour of the new tower, which has 18 floors that include a posh Penthouse and 10 pool suites.

The Penthouse maxes out at 3,500 square feet with floor to ceiling windows throughout for unobstructed and panoramic views of the Strip and expansive views of surrounding mountains. Get past the amazing views and the Penthouse interior is all wow-factor. The pool suites overlook and offer direct access to the Beach Club pool and feature two-level duplexes; with doors that open to a cabana and the pool deck, or a spacious glass balcony that places hovers over the pool scene.

The Jacuzzi, my friends, is to die for; it's covered in black tile and has stunning views over the floor-to-ceiling windows.

There's more here than just the Penthouse, however. The duplex suites are all unique, themed after rock stars (there are some with a more traditional decor, if that is to your liking).

Standard rooms are extremely comfortable with a very contemporary design and a bow to the hotel's rock & roll theme with the artwork on the walls.

Hard Rock isn't done yet. The South Tower opens in December; all accommodations will be suites, starting at 800 square feet. There will also be a 12,000-square-foot nightclub and a 40,000-square-foot spa with a unisex Turkish bath. How decadent. The top penthouse villas will have pools that open to the sky (meaning no one's balcony will be above your head).

What do you think of this $type?
